Girls Basketball:

One night after a cold-shooting, one-point loss to Claremont, Glendora got back on track.

The Tartans defeated Covina, 65-60, in a nonleague contest.

On Friday, GHS made just two 3-pointers, but on Saturday, four Tartans combined for nine 3’s.

And they needed every one of the nine, because of an incredible effort from Covina’s Miranda Morales.

Morales hit four 3’s and finished with a game-high 39 points.

Morales made all four of the Colts’ 3-pointers, and scored seven or more points in each of the four quarters.

Danie Singley chipped in with nine points.

For Glendora, Rylie Anderson had a team-high 18 points, including four 3’s.

Hailey Schaffer finished with 17 and Miriam Tomt added 13 points for the Tartans.

Up next: Covina travels to Northview on Monday at 5, and GHS will host Alta Loma on Wednesday at 5:30
