Boys Soccer:
Maranatha picked up Olympic League victory No. 1 on Friday.
The Minutemen got two goals in the first half and cruised to a 3-0 victory over Whittier Christian.
MHS stuck first when Miles Romero scored off a Jay Lee assist.
Maranatha would extend the lead to 2-0 when Jacob Brantingham scored an unassisted goal at the 38-minute mark.
And Brantingham would assist George Peterson on a second-half goal to put the game on ice.
Whittier Christian never got a shot on goal, as the MHS defense stifled them throughout Friday’s game.
Up next: MHS will host Heritage Christian on Tuesday at 3:30.
