Boys Basketball:
Nate Garcia had the best game of his high school career on Wednesday.
The Damien sophomore scored 48 points in an 83-60 Baseline League victory over Chino Hills.
Garcia went just 6-of-12 from the free-throw line or he would have certainly reached the 50-point mark.
Damien is now 2-0 in league games (Upland & Chino Hills).
Xavier Clinton chipped in with 15 points and Elijah Brown had 14.
Logan Jereczek led the Huskies with 15 points.
And Christopher Hardy scored nine points in Wednesday’s loss.
Up next: Damien will host Los Osos on Friday at 6:30.
