Boys Basketball:
Rio Hondo Prep entered the fourth quarter with a two-point lead over their visitors from Edgewood High School.
But the Lions would outscore the Kares, 16-3, in the fourth quarter, and went on to a 58-47 victory.
EHS had a 33-21 advantage in points beyond the 3-point line.
Oscar Diaz had a game-high 21 points for Edgewood and Kris Palencia chipped in with 16 points.
Diaz connected on three 3-pointers, and Palencia hit four 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the decisive fourth quarter.
Nate Curtis paced the RHP offense with 12 points and Rainn Pollock finished with 10.
Up next: RHP will host Providence on Tuesday at 7:30.
