Linus Lo Scored 18 Points to Lead Ayala to a 70-61 Victory Over Bonita; Bulldogs Outscore Bearcats, 47-33, in Second Half

Boys Basketball:

Ayala picked up victory No. 1 in Palomares League play.

The Bulldogs defeated visiting Bonita, 70-61, on Friday night.

AHS outscored BHS, 47-33, in the second half, including a 26-16 run in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs and Bearcats combined to hit 16 3-pointers.

Ayala’s Linus Lo had game-highs in points (18) and 3-pointers made (15)

Lo scored nine of his 18 in the decisive fourth quarter.

Jaden Gomez chipped in with 15 points and Dylan Victorio had 14.

Andrew Sanchez and Josh Kim had 14 points apiece for the Bearcats.

Jordan Kenwood contributed 11 points in the loss.

Up next: BHS and AHS will both be in action on Tuesday.

The Bearcats travel to Claremont, and the Bulldogs host Alta Loma.
