Boys Basketball:
Damien opened Baseline League play in dominating form.
The Spartans crushed Upland, 70-35, on Friday evening.
DHS led UHS, 46-18, at the half and never looked back.
Caiden Brown had a game-high 18 points for the Spartans.
Nate Garcia (15 points), Xavier Clinton (13) and Eli Garner (12) combined for 40 points and Garner hit three 3-pointers.
Sean DeCuis led Upland with nine points and Aiden Chavez finished with seven points.
Up next: DHS and CHHS will be back in action on Wednesday night.
The Spartans host Chino Hills, and the Highlanders travel to Los Osos.
