Boys Basketball:
The Walnut victory tour continued on Thursday night.
The Mustangs didn’t just improve to 16-1, they also claimed the Covina Tournament championship.
WHS defeated AGBU, 72-61, and got a balanced offensive attack.
Malik Khouzam led the way with 22 points, six assists and four rebounds.
Joby Barnes chipped in with 20 points and five assists.
Adrian Triplett finished with 11 points and five boards.
And Gavin Ibrahim provided 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Up next: The Mustangs travel to Diamond Bar on Wednesday in the Hacienda League opener.
The tip is set for 6:45.
