Boys Basketball:
Damien claimed the Cal High Tournament on Saturday night.
The Spartans defeated Fountain Valley, 58-48.
Nate Garcia led the way with 21 points and 15 rebounds.
Eli Garner chipped in with 10 points and Elijah Brown had 9.
Xavier Clinton contributed seven points, and joined Garcia and Garner on the all-tournament team.
Jerry Gray led Fountain Valley with 18 points.
Troy Leach chipped in 11 points for the Barons.
Up next: The Spartans won’t play until they open their own tournament (Classic at Damien) on December 26th.
DHS will face Shadow Hills in the first round at 8:30.
