Boys Soccer:
In a battle of reigning Mission Valley League co-champs, Arroyo and Marshall Fundamental met up Thursday in Pasadena.
The Eagles would get a goal from Cristian Villegas within the first six minutes of the game to take an early 1-0 lead.
Christian Lim assisted on the Eagles’ lone goal.
The Knights would tie the game in the first half.
And both goalies would hold the other scoreless throughout the remainder of Thursday’s showdown.
Despite being a young and relatively inexperienced team, Coach Erick Rodriguez said he’s been pleasantly surprised so far.
Up next: The Eagles host Gabrielino on Tuesday at 3:30.
