Girls Basketball:
The game was never in doubt.
Northview took a 50-point lead into the half of Monday’s 90-7 victory over visiting Baldwin Park.
But what couldn’t have been anticipated was Alana Diaz making history in the blowout.
Diaz scored a single-game record 40 points in three quarters of work.
She also tallied 12 rebounds and five blocked shots.
Kristin Morella had 17 points, 12 steals and seven assists.
The previous record was held by Bobbie Johnson (2009) and Gabby Valdez (2019) with 35 points.
Up next: NHS will travel to Don Lugo on Thursday at 5.
