After falling 2-0 in Saturday’s semifinal round of the Monrovia Winter Classic, you couldn’t blame Maranatha if they had a little hangover from Saturday night’s setback.
Fast forward approximately 36 hours and the Minutemen faced Rowland with third place on the line.
And while the goalies and defenders held the other scoreless throughout regulation, it was MHS that would earn a third-place showing.’
George Peterson’s penalty kick was the difference in Monday’s win.
Lorenzo Rodriguez pitched a shutout, and finished with seven saves in goal for the Minutemen.
