Maranatha’s Second-Half Surge Key in 4-1 Victory Over Poly; MHS Got Goals From Peterson, Tatevossian, Brantingham & Wang

After spotting Poly a first-half goal just 13 minutes into Thursday’s contest, Maranatha would go on to claim a 4-1 victory.

It took the Minutemen just four minutes to catch the Panthers at 1-1, when George Peterson scored off a Jay Lee assist.

MHS would take their first lead of the game in the 64th minute, as Jacob Brantingham would finish a corner kick from Jaden Brainard.

James Wang extended the lead to 3-1 after scoring from a Peterson assist.

MHS would close out the victory with a goal from Aren Tatevossian in the 72nd minute.

Brainard had two assists (second and fourth goals) in Thursday’s win.

Lorenzo Rodriguez had three saves in goal for the Minutemen.

Up next: MHS will battle Monrovia tonight (Friday) at 6:30.
