Girls Basketball:
Flintridge Prep earned a spot in Saturday’s Covina Tournament title game after Thursday’s 73-63 victory over Valley View.
The Wolves outscored VVHS, 41-30, in the second half.
For the second consecutive game, Maddie Smith paced Prep’s scoring with 26 points.
Ashley Chea finished with 25 points.
Valley View’s Ari Long had a game-high 35 points.
Mason Long added 19 points in the loss.
Up next: The Wolves open Prep League play this evening (Friday) with visiting Westridge.
The tip is set for 7.
And then on Saturday night, Flintridge Prep will play for the Covina Tournament championship against Rosary Academy.
The start time has yet to be determined.
