Girls Basketball:
For the first time in 2022-23, Ashley Chea didn’t lead Flintridge Prep in scoring.
And for the first time this season, the Wolves actually got challenged.
As they headed into the Covina Tournament, Flintridge Prep had a 75-29 average margin of victory through their first six games.
On Wednesday, the Wolves defeated Wilson, 62-49, behind a game-high 23 points and nine rebounds from Maddie Smith.
Chea scored 20 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Savannah Salo led the Wildcats with 22 points.
Up next: Flintridge Prep and Valley View meet up tonight (Thursday) at 8 in a Covina Tournament showdown of undefeated programs.
