Athlete of the Week:
La Salle is off to an 8-0 start in 2022-23.
And on Saturday, the Lancers wrapped up their week by winning the Arroyo Tournament championship.
While every member on the LSHS roster made a contribution, it was Audrey Chen who played the leading role.
In Monday’s 40-point victory over Wilson, Chen had 14 points and nine rebounds.
On Wednesday, Chen had 11 points and three rebounds in the Lancers’ 63-28 victory over Schurr.
La Salle defeated Glendale, 48-35, in the semifinal round, and Chen scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds.
On Saturday, the Lancers clinched the tournament championship, 52-31, over South Torrance.
Chen had a game-high 16 points and was named the tourney MVP.
