Boys Soccer:
Maranatha improved to 2-1 to start the new season after Tuesday’s 2-0 victory at the North Valley Military Institute in Sun Valley.
MHS got on the board midway through the first half when Luca Youssefian scored on a cornerkick by Jay Lee.
In the second half, Jay Lee scored a goal of his own on a free kick to pretty much shut the door on the Hawks.
Up next: MHS will travel to Glendale next Tuesday.
It will be the season opener for the Nitros.
The start time is set for 5:15.
