South Hills Pitcher Sterling Patick, & Shortstop Marcos Rosales, Sign Letters of Intent to UC Santa Barbara, & Cal State Fullerton

Baseball:

Congrats to a pair of South Hills baseball players for signing their letters of intent on Wednesday.

Both Sterling Patick and Marcos Rosales are signed, sealed and delivered for 2024.

Sterling Patick, one of the area’s best pitchers, is going to have fun at the beach, and will play at UC Santa Barbara.

In 2021, Patick was 7-3, with a 1.46 ERA.

He walked 26 batters and struck out 73 in 62 1/3 innings.

Marcos Rosales is headed to CSUF.

In 2021, the Huskies shortstop batted .330, with 31 hits, 23 runs, 22 RBI’s.

Rosales doubled 11 times, had one triple and two home runs for the Hacienda League champions.

He walked 11 times, had a .427 on-base percentage and a .531 slugging percentage.
