College Football:

Mt. SAC is closing out the 2022 regular season in dominant fashion.

After suffering their only loss of the season two weeks ago at Riverside City College (in OT), the Mounties have victories over Chaffey and Palomar by a combined margin of 69-16.

Last night, MSAC cruised, 31-10, to improve to 8-1 overall, and 3-1 in National Central Conference play.

Mt. SAC had a significant 495-226 advantage in total offense.

And it was Ike Udengwu that took center stage.

The Mounties quarterback completed 25-of-35 for 326 yards.

Udengwu threw four TD passes and didn’t turn the ball over.

Diego Esqueda, arguably the most reliable kicker among So Cal JC players, got MSAC on the board with a 41-yard field goal in the first quarter.

Udengwu’s 63-yard TD pass to Jaden Allen gave the Mounties a 14-0, second-quarter lead.

Palomar answered with a Kiah Reid to Tajae Brooks 70-yard TD in the second period.

The Mounties would score the next three TD’s to pull away.

Udengwu and Shemar Savage hooked up on a 44-yard scoring strike.

Reaven Tribune would follow with a 3-yard TD pass from Udengwu.

And Savage would close out the MSAC scoring with his 32-yard TD reception.

Allen caught five passes for 99 yards.

Savage had two receptions for 76 yards, both of which were TD’s.

Lucas Moore tied Allen with a team-high five catches, and he finished with 46 receiving yards.

Palomar QB, Kiah Reid was 11-of-23 for 156 yards and one TD.

Brooks caught five passes for 104 yards, including PC’s lone TD of the night.

The Mt. SAC defense absolutely shut down the Palomar run game.
