College Football:
The Mt. SAC football program enters its bye week about as strong as one could hope to be.
After a 48-7 thumping of visiting Allan Hancock, the Mounties are 5-0, and ranked third in the state.
And they’ve defeated LA Valley, Saddleback, SBVC, Bakersfield and Allan Hancock by a combined margin of 221-48.
The Mounties and Bulldogs were tied at 7-7 in the first quarter, but MSAC would outscore Allan Hancock, 41-0, the rest of the way.
The stat of the night had to be the disparity in first downs.
Mt. SAC had 39 to just three for Allan Hancock.
Ike Udengwu III picked apart the Bulldogs’ defense.
He completed 20-of-25 for 261 yards, including four TD’s.
Udengwu threw one pick.
Udengwu’s first TD pass was a 25-yard strike to Adrion Boyd, which gave Mt. SAC a 14-7 lead with 13:44 to play in the first half.
He also connected with Genuine Potts (23-yard TD), Lucas Stone (15) and Jaden Allen (26) on TD passes.
Mohamed Nyangamukenga opened and closed the scoring for Mt. SAC.

The Bulldogs’ Logan Mortensen went 7-of-18 for 66 yards, no TD’s and he was picked once by Mason White.
You know it’s not going to be a favorable outcome when one’s leading rusher (John Allen) had 16 yards on three carries.
Katin Suprenant had a team-high five tackles for MSAC.
