College Football:
Both the Mt. SAC and Citrus College football programs are off to 4-0 starts in 2022.
The Mounties (4-0) are averaging 43 points per game, and they’ve defeated LA Valley (69-7), Saddleback (13-6), SBVC (63-18) and Bakersfield (28-10) by a combined margin of 173-41.
In today’s (Sept. 27) CCCAA poll, Mt. SAC is ranked third in the state, just behind Riverside City and College of San Mateo, respectively.
MSAC will host Allan Hancock (2-2) this Saturday at 4.
Citrus (4-0) moved up five spots, and they’re tied at No. 19 with Feather River.
The Owls have wins over Chaffey (29-26), Grossmont (50-14), Desert (25-14) and LA Valley (61-13).
Three days ago, Citrus quarterback Adam Urena through for six TD’s in a 48-point beatdown of LAVC.
On Saturday, the Owls will host Antelope Valley (2-2) at 6.
