West Covina Jumps Out to 8-0 Lead & Cruises to 21-11 Victory Over Wilson

Boys Water Polo:

West Covina put Thursday’s nonleague contest with Wilson away early.

The Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats, 8-0, in the first quarter, and cruised to a 21-11 victory.

WCHS is now 6-2 to start the 2022 season.

Zachary Elhussieny led the way with five goals, three assists and a steal.

Matthew Munoz netted three goals, a pair of assists and a steal.

Adam Elhussieny, Izaiah Reyes, Andrew Encarnacion scored two goals apiece in Thursday’s victory.

Joseph Savoy, Jared Castro, Luis Fuentes all contributed their first goals of the season.

Xavier Hernandez, Ethan Lew, Ezekiel Dominguez had one goal apiece.

Matthew Ugarte racked up five saves during his time in the cage, and Ryan Diaz made 6-of-6 saves during his two quarters of play.

Up next: The Bulldogs will host Chaffey today (Friday) at 3:30.
