Boys Water Polo:
West Covina rebounded nicely from a setback on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs dropped a 13-9 decision to Xavier Prep, but shortly after that disappointment, the Bulldogs would finish the day with a 14-10 victory over Beaumont.
It was good enough for third place at the Corona Invite.
Matthew Munoz was unstoppable, scoring 10 goals, along with one steal and an assist.
Ryan Diaz blocked 12 shots, including a pair of penalty shots.
Izaiah Reyes contributed a goal and an assist.
Matthew Vasquez finished with one goal, an assist and two steals.
Ethan Lew had a goal and an assist of his own.
Xavier Hernandez helped the WCHS cause with an assist and a pair of steals.
Up next: The Bulldogs will host Wilson on Thursday at 3:30.
