Hailey Heflin has played a leading role in Glendora’s 5-1 start to the 2022 season.
The Tartans won their first five matches, including consecutive sweeps of La Serna, Burroughs, Upland and La Salle.
And GHS would edge Long Beach Wilson in Saturday afternoon’s semifinal round of the Lakewood Classic.
The Tartans defeated the Bruins by scores of 22-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-16 and 15-13.
A few hours later, GHS lost in the title match to Long Beach Millikan.
The Rams defeated GHS on Saturday night by scores of 26-28, 25-21, 26-24 and 25-17.
Up next: GHS travels to San Dimas on Tuesday at 5:45.
