Landis & Paton Homer & Combine to Drive in Five in the VC Pirates’ 7-4, BOTW League Victory Over IV Pirates

With two regular season games to play, the Ventura County Pirates hold a 1.5 game lead over the second place IV Pirates.

VCP picked up a 7-4, Best of the West League victory over IVP on Wednesday.

Deandre Carter was credited with the win, going five innings and allowing two runs on six hits.

Carter walked one and fanned four IVP batters.

Anthony Mc Farland went 4-for-4, scored twice and drove in a run.

Julian Alvarez singled, doubled and had two RBIs.

Zac Czerniawski had an RBI double.

Daniel Garcia singled three times and scored a pair of runs.

Czerniawski got the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on nine hits.

He went five innings, didn’t issue a walk and struck out four.

Eli Paton singled, hit a solo HR and scored a pair of runs.

Daniel Laughery had an RBI triple.

Quintt Landis singled twice, homered, scored twice and had a game-high three RBIs.

Robbie Treto singled, doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

Angelo Aleman walked, doubled and scored.

Ryan Camacho singled and scored in Wednesday’s win.
