He walked one and struck out six for the first-place Pirates.
In 2022, Hinkel went 5-4, and he’ll play at Cal State Fullerton next year if he’s not selected in the MLB draft.
The Pirates right-hander has a 1.93 ERA, he’s walked six and fanned 15 in 9 1/3 innings.
