Nin Burns II, IV Bucs
The Bucs had a great week, defeating the first-place IV Pirates, the second-place VC Pirates and the fourth-place Arroyo Seco Sentinels.
Burns, who played at Mt. SAC in 2022, went 7-for-15, with six runs.
Burns doubled, had an RBI, drew five walks and stole two bases.
The future Cal Poly outfielder is batting .440 with 11 hits and 11 runs.
Burns is tied for first with two doubles and he’s walked a team-high eight times.
Matt Flaharty, East LA Dodgers
The Dodgers (5-9) are struggling, and currently sit in sixth place in the BOTW standings.
But Flaharty and his bat have paced the offense.
This past week, he was 8-for-16 with two doubles, four runs, three RBIs, drew five walks and stole five bases.
For the season, the University of Utah infielder is batting .392 with a team-high 20 hits.
Flaharty’s hits total in nine more than his next closest teammate (Michael Cunningham).
