The Arroyo Seco Sentinels moved into a second-place tie (with Ventura County Pirates) in the Best of the West League standings after Friday’s 13-1 beatdown of the So Cal Shepherds
Cameron Kelly allowed seven runs on four hits in three innings of work.
Kelly walked three and struck out five.
The Sentinels got to Walter Quinn for five runs on three hits and four walks.
Quinn did not retire a batter.
Tommy Castillo tripled in two runs and finished with three RBIs.
Matt Rice walked, had a two-run double and scored.
Bryce Cerminelli walked, scored twice and hit a two-run double.
Jason Givens walked, singled, had two RBIs and scored a pair of runs.
Cam Slessor singled twice and scored two runs.
Mikey Easter drew a pair of walks, singled and scored twice.
Taer Rodriguez had an RBI single.
Jake Trabbie walked twice and scored three runs.
Antonio Andrade walked and singled in Friday’s win.
Coleman Mitchell, Eddie Cheong and Ryan Graves went two innings apiece for Arroyo Seco.
Mitchell didn’t allow a run, hit or walk and struck out three.
Cheong surrendered one run on one hit, walked four and struck out five SCS batters.
Graves didn’t allow a run, gave up two hits, didn’t issue a walk and struck out one.
Joe Jimenez went one scoreless innings, allowing one hit and fanning two.
Brandon Adams singled and scored.
Rhett Stein and Shane Poe walked and had one single apiece.
Brenden Coffindaffer singled in the loss.
