Freshman Brady Ebel Goes Distance, Allows One Run on Seven Hits & Strikes Out Five in Etiwanda’s 10-1 Victory at Warren

That was pretty impressive.

Etiwanda picked up a 10-1 victory at Warren in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.

The Eagles out-hit the Bears, 15-7.

And their rookie pitcher stayed perfect in 2022.

Brady Ebel went the distance and allowed one run on seven hits.

He didn’t issue a walk and struck out five Warren batters.

Of his 95 pitches, 65 went for strikes.

Rocco Caballero tripled and scored for Warren.

Hauze Fragoso got the loss, allowing six runs on eight hits over his 4 2/3 innings.

Fragoso walked one and fanned four.

Tyler McEvoy doubled, tripled, scored and had two RBIs.

Ebel helped his own cause with two singles, a triple, RBI and run scored.

Austen Roellig walked, singled, scored twice and had one RBI.

Armando Briseno walked, singled twice, scored a pair of runs and had an RBI.

Freddie Capacete singled twice and drove in two.

Tyler Shigenaka had three singles, two runs and an RBI.

Kaedon Mas walked, singled and scored and Parker Sobiesiak had an RBI single.

Up next: Etiwanda will host Pacifica of Garden Grove on Friday.

The Mariners (21-8) defvated visiting Sierra Canyon, 5-2, in their second-round game.
