Girls Athlete of the Week:
After starting the season 2-9, and without the luxury of nonleague games to get Pasadena primed for Pacific League action, PHS has completely turned their season around.
The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games, and if all goes as expected this coming week, with wins over Hoover and Glendale, PHS would enter the CIF-SS playoffs as the league’s third seed.
This past week, Pasadena smoked Hoover, 14-3, on Tuesday, and two days later, the Bulldogs crushed Muir, 17-2.
In Tuesday’s six-inning, mercy-rule victory, Maddie Fraer had a game that many would have considered a good month.
Fraer walked, doubled and homered three times.
One of her three home runs was a grand slam.
Fraer scored four times and drove in an incredible nine runs.
She only had one official at-bat on Thursday, but Fraer scored three runs and had one RBI in the beatdown of Muir.
