Sterling Patick continues to silence the bats of South Hills opponents.

Patick and the Huskies edged Santa Fe, 2-1, in Thursday’s nonleague contest.

Roman Macias was the tough-luck loser.

Macias went the distance and allowed just one earned on six hits.

He walked two and fanned four.

Marcos Rosales doubled in a run for South Hills.

Steven Jimenez singled and drove in a run.

Gilbert Morales singled and scored.

Andres Mitat had two of the Huskies six hits.

As mentioned, Patick dominated throughout his six innings on the mound.

He allowed just one hit, didn’t issue a walk and struck eight Santa Fe batters.

Dylan Esquival got the save after getting the final three outs.

He surrendered an unearned run on one hit and a walk.

Brendan Menchaca doubled and drove in a run.

Alex Murguia singled and scored for the Chiefs.

Up next: South Hills will host La Quinta on Saturday morning, and next week, the Huskies resume Hacienda League play.

They host Rowland on Tuesday and travel on Thursday for a two-game series with the Raiders.
