Last season, GHS lost six of their last seven Palomares League games and missed out on the playoffs.
Fast forward to 2022, and Glendora finds itself in a first-place tie with Bonita.
The Tartans have already won two more league games than in 2021, and they still have a trifecta of two-games series with Ayala, Claremont and Bonita.
GHS swept Colony this week, and Braydon Wooldridge played a huge role in both wins.
On Tuesday, the GHS senior had three singles, scored a run and drove in three runs.
Wooldridge would save his best for last.
In Thursday’s road game, Wooldridge went the distance in a 5-2 victory.
He allowed a pair of earned runs on three hits.
And Wooldridge didn’t walk a batter and struck out 14.
At the plate, he walked, had a pair of singles and scored.
