Boys Volleyball:
Maranatha got off to a quick two games to none lead in the Olympic League opener at Whittier Christian.
The Heralds, however, answered back, and defeated the Minutemen in five games.
WCHS won by scores of 23-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-21 and 15-13.
Bryan Chi led the way with 11 kills.
Lucas da Costa chipped in with 10 kills.
Eric King contributed 15 digs and Andrew Round had 13 digs.
Up next: MHS will host Village Christian at 5:15 on Tuesday.
