Baseball:
For the second time in 48 hours, a St. Francis pitcher went the distance to pick up a Mission League victory.
On Wednesday, Robby Rivera evened the three-game series with the Warriors after a seven-run victory.
On Friday, Aaron Petersen absolutely shut down the Alemany bats in the Golden Knights’ 4-1 road victory.
Petersen went the distance and allowed one unearned run on one hit.
Petersen walked three, struck out eight and needed just 93 pitches to close out the victory.
Nate Lopez singled and scored to account for the Alemany offense.
Josh Sotello got the loss, after surrendering three runs (one earned) on five hits over his six innings of work.
He walked three and fanned nine St. Francis batters.
Holden Deitch walked, singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Quinn Deitch had two singles and an RBI.
Brody Ruhle contributed an RBI double.
Jordan Lewallen walked and had an RBI double.
