Ayala leapt into a two-way tie atop the Palomares League standings on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs claimed a 9-1 victory at Glendora, while Colony defeated previously unbeaten (in league) Bonita, 7-3, in Ontario.
Andres Pasillas went six innings and allowed one run to earn the win.
Pasillas allowed just two hits, walked two and fanned four GHS batters.
Jeremy Byers got the final three outs, including one via strikeout.
Matthew Moreno walked, singled and scored and Braydon Wooldridge singled and had the Tartans lone RBI.
JJ Nolan got the loss, allowing three runs on five hits over his four innings.
He walked three and struck out three AHS batters.
Ty Borgogno singled, tripled and scored twice.
