Boys Volleyball:
The Arcadia boys volleyball program has something in common with Bo Derek.
And no one under the age of 40 would likely get that reference, but the Apaches are now a perfect 10.
On Monday, Arcadia swept La Salle by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-16.
Jesse Lok had a team-high 11 kills.
Luke Treiman contributed seven kills, two blocks and three aces.
Kevin Nakaishi finished with 12 digs in the win.
Up next: La Salle will host South Pasadena on Friday night.
Arcadia opens Pacific League play on Wednesday at Burroughs.
Quotable:
Arcadia coach, Stephen Bernabe: “We had to switch this game last minute so I am proud of our boys for how we played. Mentally they were fatigued from our tournament but they knew we still had to show up today. The scores do not reflect how hard and scrappy La Salle was playing they gave a lot of effort on defense. We have earned being ranked in the top 10 in CIF right now and I hope we can remain healthy.”
Records: La Salle (4-8); Arcadia (10-0)
