Girls Athlete of the Week:
To say this has been a magical and historic season for the La Salle girls basketball program would be an understatement.
The Lancers won the school’s first CIF-SS title in program history, defeating Cerritos, 46-33, on February 26th.
One week later, and La Salle has defeated Eagle Rock (61-37), Rancho Bernard0 (47-35) and Scripps Ranch (52-36) in the CIF State Division 3 playoffs.
The Lancers have won 22 consecutive games, and they host Porterville on Tuesday night in the Southern California D-3 Regional final.
With a victory, La Salle would head to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Arena in the state finals.
Over the last week (and season), so many girls have stepped up, and forward Ryann Riddle has certainly done her part and then some.

Tuesday vs Eagle Rock: team-high 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting, seven rebounds & three assists.
Thursday vs Rancho Bernardo: eight points & a team-high 13 rebounds
Saturday vs Scripps Ranch: 16 points & 12 rebounds
