The magical and historic 2021-22 season finally came to an end on Thursday night for Marshall Fundamental.

Hemet avenged last week’s CIF-SS Division 5 title-game loss and defeated the Eagles, 3-1, in the semifinal round of the CIF State Division 4 playoffs.

Bridget Arnold scored the game’s only goal in the first half and her second-half score gave the Bulldogs some breathing room.

Presley Searl scored in the second half and Natalie Arnold had two assists for Hemet.

Brianna Marquez had Marshall’s lone score of the game.

Marquez’s second-half goal was assisted by Cadence Fisher.

Kaiya Jota had a game-high eight saves for the Eagles.

Hemet’s Itzel Esparza blocked six shots for the Bulldogs.

Congratulations to the Marshall Fundamental program for an undefeated run to a Mission Valley League championship (13-0), a CIF-SS Division 5 title and a win streak that reached 18 games.
