Baseball:
Flintridge Prep won its fifth game in six tries to open the 2022 season.
The Wolves defeated Brentwood, 8-4, on Wednesday.
Prep got six runs in the top of the sixth inning to put the game on ice.
Josh Beserra went six innings to earn the win.
Beserra allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits.
He walked two and struck out five.
Graham DesHotel provided a scoreless inning of relief for the Wolves.
Jack Kane surrendered six runs (five earned) on five hits and was saddled with the loss.
JR Kully walked, doubled, tripled, and drove in three runs.
Nick Gonzalez went 2-for-4, with two singles, scored twice and had an RBI.
Dominick Schraeder had an RBI double and scored once.
Beserra helped his own cause with two hits, an RBI and run scored.
Max Brunngraber walked, singled and scored.
Diego Ynzunza singled, scored and had one RBI.
Nathan Park walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
