Girls Water Polo:
Ayala earned a spot in the CIF-SS Division 5 semifinals after edging La Salle, 10-9, on Saturday.
The Bulldogs outscored the Lancers 4-2 in the second half.
Clare Baty had a game-high five goals in the win.
Jamie Bracht chipped in with two goals.
Savannah Robles led La Salle with four goals.
And River Lee contributed three goals in the loss.
Braxton Sotomayor and Beth Dougherty shared time in goal for Ayala.
Sotomayor tallied seven saves and Dougherty had five.
Monica Villasenor had 10 blocks for the Lancers.
Up next: The Bulldogs will host Centennial Corona on Wednesday afternoon in the D-5 semifinal round.
The Huskies defeated Lakewood, 22-6, on Saturday.
