Girls Water Polo:
Glendora wasn’t messing around on Wednesday.
The Tartans jumped on Sunny Hills early, and cruised to a 14-7 road victory in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.
GHS led 5-1 after the first period, and had a 10-1 advantage at the break.
Liz Ramirez had six goals, three steals and three ejections drawn.
Hailey Andress chipped in with five goals and 10 steals.
Anika Nichols finished with a pair of goals, two steals and an assist.
Jezreel Gomez had one goal, four assists and a steal.
Up next: Glendora will host Ventura on Saturday.
The Cougars (22-5-1) defeated Santa Monica, 10-5, on Wednesday.
