Girls Basketball:
La Salle won its 13th consecutive game on Thursday night.
The Lancers defeated visiting St. Joseph, 67-25, to improve to 7-0 in Camino Real League games.
There was an act of kindness on Senior Night that was leaps and bounds more important than any sporting event.
St. Joseph of Lakewood allowed La Salle senior, Itzel Sosa, who tore her ACL in October to score on the game’s first possession, and we’ll have video of that in a separate story.
As far as the game went, nine different Lancers scored in the 52-point win.
Kaden Cortes and Ryann Riddle had 11 points apiece.
The other La Salle senior, Megan Ortiz contributed nine points.
Reese Wong and Audrey Chen chipped in nine points apiece.
Daniella Romero had eight points in the win.
Up next: La Salle will host Cantwell Sacred Heart tonight (Friday) at 5 to close out the regular season.
On Tuesday at noon, the Lancers will get their first-round opponent.
