Boys Basketball:

If anyone was worried about a possible letdown a night after Damien handed Etiwanda its first loss of the season, the Spartans put those concerns to rest with a 69-54 victory at Chino Hills.

With two games to play, Damien trails Etiwanda by one-half a game in the Baseline League standings.

But if the Spartans win on Wednesday and Friday, they will clinch at least a share the league championship with the Eagles.

Chino Hills got a game-high 27 points from Mourad Toure.

Logan Jereczek contributed nine points and Jaycob Parsons had six points in the loss.
