Ayala held up its end of the bargain.
With three games to play, the Bulldogs kept even with Glendora for the second seed out of the Palomares League.
GHS & AHS enter the final week of the regular season with identical 5-2 league marks, and they meet up Tuesday at Ayala.
But back to Friday’s road win.
Jermaine Rogers had a game-high 23 points for Ayala.
The Bulldogs led CHS, 60-44 after three quarters, before the Wolfpack made up seven points in the fourth quarter.
Zack Murphy (11), Kyler Wong (9) and Tyler Beattie (9) combined for 29 points in the win.
Jaylen Rose, Lado Limbe and Ezrom Stephanos had 13 points apiece for Claremont.
Charlie Katsiaficas chipped in 12 points for the Wolfpack.
Up next: Claremont will host Bonita today (Saturday at 1) and Ayala welcomes Glendora on Tuesday night at 7.
