Boys Basketball:
San Dimas entered Wednesday night’s VVL showdown at Northview tied for first place, and they held a two-point lead at the break.
The Saints would outscore the Vikings, 27-15, in the second half, and claimed a 56-42 victory.
Ethan Chavez played huge in the win.
Chavez finished with a game-high 22 points, which included five 3-point baskets.
Chavez scored 12 of his 22 in the decisive second half and tallied a pair of assists and steals.
Nathan Kester contributed nine points and six rebounds and Aaron Park had nine points and seven assists.
Nick Peoples led Northview with 13 points and Jack Hernandez had nine points.
Up next: SDHS & NHS will both be in action on Friday.
The Saints travel to Covina, and the Vikings host Diamond Ranch.
