Boys Basketball:
With its 48-44 victory over Charter Oak, Northview just made the Valle Vista League title chase a four-team fight to the finish.
With just two weeks to go, both the Chargers and Vikings are one-half game back of first-place San Dimas, and Covina is just a game out of the league’s penthouse.
In Sunday’s showdown, only the third period was decided by more than one point.
The Vikings got 12 points from Sam Osi and 12 points apiece from Mills Perucho and Jack Hernandez.
Charter Oak’s Marquis Bradley had a game-high 14 points, while Samuel Lizardo chipped in 12 points and JP Santoyo contributed nine for COHS.
Up next: Both Northview and Charter Oak will be in action tonight (Tuesday).
The Vikings host San Dimas and the Chargers welcome Diamond Ranch to their gym.
