Boys Basketball:

To say the Marshall Fundamental boys basketball program got off to a slow start would be quite the understatement.

The Eagles scored a total of 13 first-half points.

The good news, however, is that Marshall more than doubled its first half in the third quarter alone and picked up a 63-45 victory at Arroyo.

Jalen Brown led the way with 18 points, including a 4-for-4 effort from behind the 3-point line.

The win moved the Eagles to within just one-game back of first-place Gabrielino in the loss column.

Jackson Stadnicki and Bagdo Yetenekyan contributed 11 points each.

Vazion Boone chipped in with 10 points, and Armen Darakchyan scored nine points in the win.

Up next: The Eagles will travel to first-place Gabrielino tonight (Friday).

The tip is set for 6:30.
