Girls Basketball:
In a battle of unbeatens in Valle Vista League play, San Dimas picked up an important 50-32 victory over Northview.
The Vikings struggled to get their offense going all night, but it was the second and fourth quarters that saw SDHS outscore NHS by a margin of 34-15.
Jaelyn Ramos (16 points) and Alyssa Puente (9) combined for half of San Dimas’ 50 points.
Ramos and Puente also went 5-0f-9 from behind the 3-point line, while the rest of the Saints went 0-12.
Ramos finished with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Alana Diaz led Northview with 16 points.
Samantha Martinez chipped in with eight points in the loss.
Janessa Rodriguez had just two points for SDHS, but the Saints sophomore grabbed eight rebounds and had four steals in the win.
Up next: SDHS heads to West Covina on Tuesday.
Northview travels to Charter Oak on Wednesday.
