Boys Basketball:
Walnut picked up its first Hacienda League victory of 2021-22 on Saturday.
The Mustangs put Rowland away early and cruised to a 77-41 victory.
Walnut had an 18-point advantage after the first quarter, and took a 56-20 lead into the half.
Malik Khouzam had a monster game with 30 points and five assists.
Khouzam hit eight 3-point baskets.
Ramadan Ibrahim chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Tyler Stevens finished with 10 points and Adrian Triplett had nine.
Gavin Ibrahim contributed nine points and nine boards in the win.
Up next: The Mustangs will meet up with Summit on Monday at Riverside College.
And on Wednesday, Walnut resumes Hacienda League play, as they host Diamond Bar.
