Girls Soccer:
West Covina had gone more than a month since its last victory.
On Friday, though, the Bulldogs shut out Northview, 5-0, in a Valle Vista League contest.
WCHS held a 1-0 lead at the break, and then exploded for four second-half goals to pick up their first VVL win of the 2021-22 season.
Sanaa Turner led the way with two goals.
Hannah Salama scored her first goal of the season.
Kristell Sanchez and Hannah Lumbreras also scored in the Bulldogs’ victory.
Up next: WCHS will travel to San Dimas on Tuesday afternoon.
Northview will host Charter Oak on Wednesday.
