Girls Basketball:
La Salle won its eighth consecutive game on Thursday night.
The Lancers improve to 2-0 in Camino Real League play after a 57-36 victory over St. Mary’s Academy.
La Salle took a 28-12 lead into the half.
Kaden Cortes led the way with 20 points.
The freshman scored 12 of her 20 in the first half, including a pair of -point baskets.
Audrey Chen finished with 12 points and both Reese Wong and Ryann Riddle chipped in with eight points apiece for the Lancers.
Raylyn Fergerson led SMA with 10 points, while Ebbony Wilson and Iymani Seals chipped in with nine points each in the loss.
Up next: The Lancers will travel to Lakewood on Tuesday to battle St. Joseph in a Camino Real League contest.
